1) The following rules, approved at the meeting of the founders of OV Europa on the 5th October 2006, are valid for all members of the association until such time as they are modified by the council.

2) The relationship between hosts and volunteers is not one of work : the aim of the relationship is collaboration and the sharing of common aims.

3) The insurance cover for volunteers does not cover damage caused whilst using mechanised equipment, with the exception of a strimmer (hand-held mechanical grass cutter) with string/nylon attachment (NOT with a blade). OV Europa's insurance policy allows volunteers to use non-mechanised tools only.

4) The OV Europa insurance policy is valid for any member of the association whilst on a recognised volunteer project.

5) Hosts and national volunteer project organisations are not liable in any way for any accident or illness insurance claim.

6) It is the responsibility of all hosts and all the associations members to observe these rules.
